Wrong. The American version has no words. This one is the Japanese game with cut scenes between levels.
This translation is made very well. If you already have Contra there is not much reason to get this. But if you want Contra.
Might as well get this one instead.
This is different than the one on romhacking.net. Jediquestmaster did an awesome job hacking this to MMC3 and translating it to english.
